I hate it when straight girls make out to entertain the male gaze because they get to do it freely simply because they are straight. When a lesbian couple dares to show affection in public, all they get is harassment. Straights girls do it for the harassment, which makes men think it is the appropriate response to seeing two women show affection. It is not just straight men but also straight women who perpetuate the lesbophobic myth that lesbians exist to fulfill men’s fantasies.
I also hate it when straight girls kiss to make a statement “for gay rights”. This always boils down to appealing to the male gaze in order to promote your agenda; it’s another version of certain animal rights organisations’ use of degrading and objectifying female nudes, just with added lesbophobia. In fact, this angers me even more than straight girls making out for fun because the whole pretext of “supporting lesbians” is so ironic when actual lesbians suffer from being reduced to men’s sexual fantasies.
Lesbians kissing in public take the risk of receiving harassment and abuse as result of getting outed. Heterosexuals doing this are just flaunting their privilege. It is disrespectful. It trivializes lesbophobia.
It’s only okay to be a lesbian as long as you’re not one.

In fifteen minutes, it’ll be Sully’s birthday in my timezone. Sorry I didn’t have more time to polish the painting more, though I am happy I found enough to make one in color (though I apparently decided not to put her flat on the ground for whatever reason).
Anyway, Happy Birthday, Sully, and enjoy the paladin armors~
